The Bay Area Mashers (BAM) is a homebrewing club, formed in 1990, with a membership based in the Northern California East Bay (Berkeley, Oakland, Alameda area). Since formation, BAM has grown from a small group of 10 to over 180 members. Membership is open to all brewers and all those interested in brewing.

BAM’s main goal is to promote the practice of better brewing and to have fun while doing it. The club consists of everyone from aspiring brewers and novice brewers to nationally ranked BJCP judges, current and ex commercial brewers, and winners of local and national homebrew competitions.
